Rodelle B. Bolante is a Partner of SyCip, Salazar, Hernandez and Gatmaitan. He is part of the Firm’s Employment and Immigration Department, which represents clients in compulsory and voluntary arbitration as well as in adversarial and non-adversarial labor proceedings before labor agencies and the courts.
Professional Experience
Mr. Bolante specializes in immigration work, including providing professional advice and assistance in the procurement and renewal of visas and work permits. He has extensive experience in representing companies in the banking and manufacturing sectors in collective bargaining negotiations. He also does advisory work for business process outsourcing companies. He represents clients in compulsory and voluntary arbitration, as well as in adversarial and non-adversarial labor proceedings before labor agencies and the courts.
Mr. Bolante has received several awards and recognition for his immigration practice. He was cited as a Leading Individual by Asia Legal 500 in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022. He was also recognized as a Recommended Lawyer in 2019 and 2021.
For his employment practice, Mr. Bolante is consistently cited by Who’s Who Legal: Labour and Employment as a notable individual in the Philippines.
Personal Data
Mr. Bolante completed his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of the Philippines. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1997.
He regularly contributes legal articles to leading publications. His articles include the Philippine Chapter of the “International Background Checks” report, published by Employment Law Alliance, January 2015; “Women, Business and the Law 2012: Removing Barriers to Economic Inclusion,” published by World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, September 2011; “Country Guides – Litigation in Asia 2012,” published by Mayer Brown, and “Global Mobility 2015,” published by LawQuest.
Mr. Bolante held various positions in the Philippine Bar Association and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Marikina West (R1 District 3800). He holds the rank of Lt. Commander in the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (101st Squadron).
